Tiny Wings 2.0 Takes Flight with Retina Support, New HD Version for iPad
Although it may not be a household name like Angry Birds, developer Andreas Illiger definitely had a hit on his hands with the iPhone game Tiny Wings. Now, the app has been souped up with a huge 2.0 update, also introducing a new version for the iPad.
Developer Andreas Illiger has announced version 2.0 of his popular Tiny Wings for iPhone and iPod touch, available now as a free update to the 99-cent game. And that's not all: The title also makes the leap to the iPad with a slick new HD version as well.
"Hi Tiny Wings fans! The long-awaited Tiny Wings 2 is finally done!" the developer announced as part of the release notes for the app. "Iâve put a lot of love into creating this major update, and I hope youâll enjoy it. Youâll be getting a completely new game mode with 15 hand-designed levels, a whole flock of baby birds, fish, and other surprises! And hereâs the best part: Tiny Wings 2 is a free update, as a thank-you to my loyal fans (and because I donât particularly like in-app purchases). :) Thanks, and have fun!"
In addition to those notable features, the app now includes Retina Display support, a "night flights" mode and iCloud syncing, even between the small-screen version and the iPad.
And what about that iPad version? Indeed, Tiny Wings HD has taken flight in the App Store on Thursday, offering all of the same great features on a bigger screen for a mere $2.99.
Tiny Wings 2.0 is available now from the App Store, compatible with all devices running iOS 3.1 or later; Tiny Wings HD requires an iPad running iOS 3.2 or later.
