Latest security bulletin addresses three vulnerabilities February is proving to be a very busy month for those tasked with the unenviable task of plugging Flash Player holes at Adobe. The Adobe Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) on Tuesday announced the availability of new security updates for the Flash Player. This is the third time this month that the company has had to release security updates for the ubiquitous plugin. The latest security bulletin (APSB13-08) addresses three Flash vulnerabilities, two of which are currently being exploited in the wild. According to the security advisory, the two zero-day bugs are being exploited in targeted attacks that trick the user into clicking through to a site containing malicious Flash content. However, the exploit in question is restricted to Firefox alone. “Today, a Security Bulletin (APSB13-08) has been posted to address security issues in Adobe Flash Player 11.6.602.168 and earlier versions for Windows, Adobe Flash Player 11.6.602.167 and earlier versions for Macintosh, and Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.270 and earlier versions for Linux,†the company announced in a post on the PSIRT blog. It is recommended by Adobe that you update your Flash Player installation to the latest version available for the platform of your choice.
