AMD Catalyst 13.2 Beta Drivers Improve Performance in Crysis 3
Pulpit rock
With six beta releases under its belt, certified Catalyst 13.2 drivers can't be far behind. Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) this week released its Catalyst 13.2 Beta 6 driver for Radeon graphics cards. The latest build resolves minor anti-aliasing corruption seen in Crysis 3, improves Hitmat Absolution Crossfire scaling, and fixes graphical corruption on objects and textures in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. It also includes all the fixes and enhancements found in the previous beta releases. Catalyst 13.2 improves Crossfire scaling in Crysi 3 multi-player by up to 40 percent. It also adds a 10 percent boost to Far Cry 3 performance at 2560x1600 with 8xAA; improves latency performance in Skyrim, Borderlands 2, and Guild Wars 2; improves single GPU performance up to 50 percent for DmC Devil May Cry; and resolves texture flickering seen in DirectX 9.0c applications. It's been just over a month since AMD last released certified Catalyst drivers. The company ditched its monthly Catalyst driver update schedule in June of last year and now releases new drivers "when it makes sense." Follow Paul on Google+, Twitter, and Facebook
