
Microsoft âworking super hardâ to address Surface Pro supply issues Microsoftâs Surface Pro tablet is currently available in the U.S. and Canada only, but Microsoft has announced that, beginning in March, the Windows Pro-running tablet will be rolling out to seven additional international markets. The Surface RT wonât be left behind either, expanding to six new countries. In the coming months, the Surface Pro will be made available to consumers in Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Its less powerful sibling, currently available in as many as 21 countries, will be hitting store shelves in Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore and Taiwan during this period. âThe worldwide customer response to both Surface RT with Windows RT and Surface Pro with Windows 8 Pro has been exciting to see,â the Surface team wrote in a blog post Friday. âToday, we are pleased to announce that, beginning in late March, we will continue our phased approach to the expansion of the Surface family of PCs into new markets.â âWe are focused on meeting demand in current markets for Surface Pro and are working super hard to get new inventory into retail but recognize demand exists in other countries as well.
