White BlackBerry Z10 Only Available at Verizon Wireless
Pulpit rock
BlackBerry's future may hinge on the success of its flagship Z10 handset. Verizon Wireless is the latest carrier to announce plans to sell BlackBerry's new Z10 smartphone, and in fact you can place your pre-order right now. Big Red is charging $200 for the device, provided you lock yourself into a 2-year service agreement with a qualifying data plan -- standard stuff for a high-end smartphone. But unlike other wireless carriers, Verizon is offering the Z10 is both white and black color options. Every other carrier only offers the Z10 in black, with Verizon securing an exclusive with BlackBerry to also carry the white model. Color options aside, what does the Z10 bring to the smartphone table? On the software side, it's running the new BlackBerry 10 OS. You can read an in-depth review of BB10 over on TechRadar, but short and to the point, it's the platform that BlackBerry (previously known as Research In Motion, or RIM) is banking on returning the company to prominence, or at least relevance. As for the hardware, the Z10 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage supplemented with a microSD card slot, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, and an 1,800mAh removable battery. The Z10 will be available at VZW online and in stores starting March 28. Follow Paul on Google+, Twitter, and Facebook
