Banners Already Going Up at Moscone for WWDC 2012

WWDC 2012 decorationsApple’s Worldwide Developer Conference kicks off on Monday, June 11 with a keynote from CEO Tim Cook and friends, and in keeping with tradition, the banners are already going up outside of the Moscone Center in San Francisco ahead of the event.

MacRumors is reporting that the Moscone Center in San Francisco has started decorating its walls with banners for Apple’s WWDC 2012, which invades the convention center next week.

Along with a colorful collage of popular iOS app icons, the banner reads: “WWDC 2012: Where great ideas go on to do great things.”

Tickets for this year’s developer conference sold out within hours, but Apple is promising to post session videos after the event is over. The same will likely apply to the keynote address, which takes place on Monday, June 11 at 10am PST.

While no one is certain exactly what Apple will unveil at the keynote, a preview of iOS 6 is a likely candidate, as well as any last-minute additions to OS X Mountain Lion, which is promised to ship this summer. New hardware is also anticipated, especially with the new iPad being the only Apple product updated since the iPhone 4S last October.

Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference 2012 runs from June 11 through 15 in San Francisco.
