Adventure Time - Legends of Ooo: Big Hollow Princess Review
Adventure Timeâs weird brand of off-beat humor has struck a chord with children and adults alike, so itâs no wonder that Cartoon Network hustled to get an app released on iPhone. In the duoâs first proper game outing, Finn and Jake find themselves tasked with beating up the Ice King in order to break a spell on the landâs princesses â" just another day in the office for Oooâs greatest heroes.
Legends of Ooo is one of the simplest point-and-click adventure games ever made, which actually fits the showâs content well, since the duo spends more time helping strangers with menial tasks than they do actually battling monsters. That said, itâs a little too simple for its own good. Building a game for children is one thing, but the puzzles are so mind-numbingly easy that even children would be frustrated with the lack of any semblance of a challenge. Hearing the characters interact is fun for a while, but only a few of them are voiced, so even that is short-lived.

Speaking of short, at around 30-minutes long youâre only getting an episode or two worth of content, and thatâs if you click on literally everything a few times just to hear Finn and Jakeâs witty remarks. Regrettably, Legends of Ooo is far from algebraic â" itâs a slightly entertaining, but overall unfulfilling experience, and one that is skippable by all but the most die-hard of fans.
The bottom line. Adventure Time is too short and far too easy, crippling its overall value.
