Apple Airs Trio of Genius Bar Commercials for London Olympics
Apple is following up its recent Martin Scorsese entry to its Siri ads by airing a trio of completely new spots which focus less on its products and more on the experience of visiting its Genius Bar.
Apple has introduced a trio of new Mac-centric television commercials during the Olympic games in London and this time, the focus is on the Genius Bar experience rather than the actual products.
"Mayday" features a last-minute crisis on board an airplane, where a man in 3B has only 27 minutes to assemble an anniversary video for his wife before the plane lands. Thankfully, an Apple Genius is on board to help solve the problem, with two minutes remaining to help 21F knock out a Keynote as well.
"Basically" finds a man claiming to have bought a Mac from a shady electronics dealer who happens upon an Apple Genius while waiting in line at a food truck, only to discover that he "basically" didn't buy a Mac at all.
Last but not least, "Labor Day" finds a neighbor waking up the Apple Genius who lives in his building to inquire about making a photo card announcing the birth of his baby -- while his wife is still in labor.
All three spots have been posted to Apple's website as well as the company's official YouTube page, and we've conveniently embedded them here as well.
