GameFly has stripped its digital PC game distribution client of its beta tag and launched it as a polished download. It's both a storefront for over 1,500 Windows and Mac games, and a queue management frontend for subscribers to GameFly's game rental service, essentially a Netflix equivalent for games with a Steam-like distribution model baked in. To celebrate the launch, GameFly is offering up BioShock for free.
GameFly subscribers have access to "Unlimited PC Play" of a catalog of hundreds of downloadable Windows games, including titles like Assassin's Creed Director's Cut, Fallout, Saints Row 2, and Civilization IV.
"We used the positive and constructive feedback from our community during the beta to help make the best product possible," said Sean Spector, GameFly co-founder and SVP of Business Development and Content. "To celebrate the launch of the client, we're excited to partner with 2K Games to give away their highly acclaimed PC game Bioshock for free."
The GameFly PC client also provides game related news, access to Game Q (GameFly's official magazine), game trailers, interviews, and more.
GameFly subscriptions run $15.95/month for 1 game out at a time, $22.95 for 2 games, and $29.95 for 3 games. Each tier comes with Unlimited PC Play.
